Pet insurance is something that is becoming more popular these days. Even employers are offering it as an option. However, there are a a bunch of different policies and companies out there, so make sure you do your research and understand what is covered and what is not covered.

We have treated many animals who have pet insurance. Since we are not a vet clinic, we can not do the direct pay from insurance providers. We make sure you have a script, write our notes and send you an invoice showing you have paid for services. Then it is up to you to complete the submission to insurance.

Many insurance providers require rehab to be performed by a vet or under direct vet supervision. To meet this required, you will need to be seen at clinic. The supervising vet often times will come in and introduce themselves and sometimes do an assessment of your pet, as they are signing the paperwork regarding the plan of care. They are NOT assuming care of your pet or taking over for your primary vet. They are simply providing supervision and can provide input to myself and owners as needed.
